InI – Fakin’ Jax
“Fakin‘ Jax” is a track from Pete Rock & INI off their album Center of Attention. I forgot about this album, which was a mistake cause this album is a definite classic. It is easy to just play “Fakin‘ Jax” over and over, but the album seriously is solid all the way through. One of my few complete albums with no skippers.
Too bad this album was never really officially released due to record label issues. It is also a shame that INI has not really made any music since. Since the album was never officially released it is regarded as one of the most bootlegged, unreleased albums in recent music history.
Even though Pete Rock is not an official member of the group his name is synonymous with their work. The official lineup consisted of Rob-O, Grap Luva (Pete Rock’s younger brother), and Marco Polo. I highly recommend d/l this album and giving it a listen if you have never heard it. As far as being a complete album it might be my favorite Pete Rock album.
