Del Tha Funkee Homosapien Dr. Bombay
Dr. Bombay is a track off Del’s first lp entitled I Wish My Brother George Was Here. Early in his career Del was associated with his cousin Ice Cube, and it is speculated that Del ghostwrote lyrics for Da Lynch Mob, NWA and Cube himself back in the day….even though Cube is regarded as the lyrical inspiration behind most NWA tracks.
Anyway, It is clear that Del has a unique style and has been in the game about as long as any other rapper around (since 1990). Del has always been one of my favorites due to his humorous, and thought provoking futuristic lyrics. His originality and promise to never sell his soul to the industry has allowed him to become involved with some of the greatest alternative albums of our generation including Deltron 3030, 3rd Eye Vision, Gorillaz, and of course his solo discography.
Anyway, Enjoy the songs and if anyway wants me to up some of his albums just let me know….I got them all. Also, I will post his song “X-files” cause that is my favorite joint by him.
