Grammy nominated rappers Lupe Fiasco and Mos Def will be stealing attention from this year’s Republican National Convention in Minnesota, as both entertainers are scheduled to perform at a festival across town on the same day.
According to Rolling Stone, the conscious performers have been tagged by Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello to participate at The Take Back Labor Day Festival in St. Paul next month. Hosted by the Service Employees International Union, the event will be paying homage to workers’ achievements and encourage a plan that promotes better wages, healthcare, and retirement security.
