Jeezy's Teaming Up with Nas in Support of Obama

Jeezy and Nas make up the G'ream Team For Obama

No surpise here, both of these rappers had already told the world of their affection for Obama in songs and interviews. Nas is probably the most liberal popular rapper alive and tends to speak up on political issues. Young Jeezy’s new album The Recession has a political spin on it but is mostly about his drug trade. You think Nas will be rooting for Obama when Obama comes on the O’Reilly Factor tonight? That will be a very interesting hour of television, but for those of us without TiVo, the choice between McCain’s speech and Obama’s interview will be tough. Why this interview is at the same time as McCain’s speech is beyond me.

Rappers Nas and Young Jeezy have declared their support for U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama after teaming up for a politically-charged rap.

The pair recorded My President Is Black for Jeezy’s album, The Recession.

Young Jeezy recently announced the collaboration to Mtv News, insisting the pair has put aside their hip-hop feud to support their choice for president.

Nas raps on the record: “History, black history/No president ever did s*** for me… Mr. black president yeah Obama for real/Hey gotta put your face on the $5,000 bill.”

The Recession is in stores now.
