Graffiti is everywhere and recently I’ve been seeing more and more as I travel around Amsterdam. The cool thing about seeing Graffiti over here is that it doesn’t look any different than graffiti in — lets say New York City. I was taking videos of this ill wall (picture above, video below) in Amsterdam and then I discovered a hip-hop clothing store run by a dude from Brooklyn. WORD! More on that later…

The difference is the tolerance for graffiti is higher in europe. The video you posted is of a commissioned wall. It is looked at as more of art form then here in the states. And the fact people are more organized in anti establishment and anarchy in Europe has alot to do with it. No matter the penalty alot of writters there don’t give a shit..they still keep it hip hop ..revolutionary status a movement to unite the disenfranchised people through the art of hip hop..Europe for the most part hasn’t become a cooperate playground for mindless manipulative nonsense like the USA is…Germany is now the graffiti capital of the world..Between Koch and Guliani virtually killing all that once was the graffiti mecca of NYC .
