Jay-Z is voting for Obama.
Jay talks about China, Obama, foreign policy, DJ Khaled, and much more. It’s funny because Tim Westwood is 50 but dresses like he’s 20. He makes Jay look young in this video.

I originally spotted this at RealTalkNY.
Jay-Z on Hiphop + Politics AKA Hiptics:
“Hip-hop has an incredible reach. From the states all the way over here [in the UK]. And it’s getting stronger. Even to where it’s influencing politics now. It’s this unstoppable force…”

Jones is from Harlem.
Jones always speaks his mind. Check out what he had to say in this interview.
“All these n*gg*s have been around and they still not doing nothing. They trying to catch up to me right now, literally. I’m the point of interest right now. Who’s been more relevant than me the past three years as far as New York is concerned? As far as style, fashion, speakin’ my mind, political awareness and stuntin’ on n*gg*s. Ladies love me. Police know my name on a first and last basis. They respect me for a [being a] G. They ain’t trying to lock me up for weed, so I’m having a ball. I probably smoke like a half an ounce a day. N*gg*s know how instrumental I am to New York. There’s no one gonna be able to do what I’ve done as far as the work I’ve put in, the things I’ve accomplished, and the things I’ve escaped unscathed for another 20 years. I don’t have to have nothing out and I still shut sh*t down. Me and Juelz go on any stage in the world and shut the whole thing down.”

I can afford the NY hat.

Rap game is mine.
That is the question of the day.
New York-based rapper 50 Cent will wear two hats as he prepares to give fans something to hear and see with his forthcoming album and DVD, both titled Before I Self Destruct.
AllHipHop
The trailer for the Before I Self Destruct DVD is pretty good.
WATCH the trailer HERE
Read what XXL’s Byron Crawford had say about 50’s new hustle over at XXLMag:
When I heard Fiddy Cent was gonna make a movie to go along with his new album, Before I Self Destruct, I should have known he was gonna do it.
A lot of these rappers say they’re gonna do something, and it never ends up happening. Or it takes like five years for them to do some shit that should have only taken a few weeks.
Take for example Snoop Dogg. It’s been such a long time since he began saying he was gonna do another album produced entirely by Dr. Dre, I can’t even remember when it was. I was probably like 13 years old at the time. I’m sure it’s still gonna happen though.
Of course, the difference is that Fiddy Cent doesn’t really mess around with weed and alcohol and what have you. While the rest of us bums are sitting around self-medicating, Fiddy Cent’s running on a treadmill and drinking Vitamin Water.

Bad Meets Evil
I think this makes perfect sense since Em’s been out of the public eye for so long. This will re energize old fans and potentially help Mr. Mathers gain new followers. After all, his life story is pretty dang interesting. I’m looking forward to Empact.
Rapper Eminem is scheduled to throw a release party for his upcoming book “The Way I Am” on Oct. 21 at an undisclosed location in New York, reports Allhiphop.com.
The 208-page book from Dutton Adult, a division of The Penguin Group, is described as a collection of the Detroit rapper’s personal stories, photographs, artwork, never-before-seen lyrics and reflections.
Due in stores the same day as the release party, the book comes with a DVD featuring unreleased interviews and personal footage of Eminem.
Fans will be able to listen in to the event via Eminem’s Shade 45 Sirius satellite radio station, which will broadcast from the venue with hosts Angela Yee, Drama King DJ Kay Slay, while producer The Alchemist will man the turntables.
