Known for his distinct drawl, Texas swagger, and incredible production skills, Chad Butler (Pimp C) is deeply missed in the music industry. Chamillionaire, a friend and fan of the late Pimp C, included this recording on a track from Mixtape Messiah 5. I found this quote particular relevant and thought I’d post it up.
At the end of these records we listen to [we don't get any] social commentary. We [don't get] any knowledge out of these records. Everybody just talking about how many chains they got on and how much dope they sold. But the truth of the matter is, ‘I don’t believe you.’ Everybody on these records lying.
