Hip-hop as an interrogation tactic? I wonder what Eminem and Dr. Dre songs/albums were on repeat..?

“There was loud music, [Eminem's] ‘Slim Shady’ and Dr. Dre for 20 days. I heard this nonstop over and over,” says Mohammed. “The CIA worked on people, including me, day and night for the months before I left. Plenty lost their minds.”

It may sound like a funny story but torturing people for any reason is wrong and horrible. Torture is a violation of the Geneva Convention and should be treated seriously. The people that committed these acts and the officers in charge should be brought to justice as War Criminals.

    Geneva Convention Article 3 States:
“Noncombatants, combatants who have laid down their arms, and combatants who are hors de combat (out of the fight) due to wounds, detention, or any other cause shall in all circumstances be treated humanely, including prohibition of outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment.”

I’m aware of the Geneva Convention and I personally feel that the Bush Administration’s violation of the Geneva Convention did a lot to damage America’s credibility throughout the world. However, I do not know the full story behind those who are accused of playing loud rap music as a form of torture so I don’t want to get into an argument in their defense. Thank you for reading Hiptics, though. I appreciate the feedback.

I am all for this. Our soldiers would be given even worse treatment if they were captured, and then decapitated…so u tell me why this is wrong honestly. Blasting the same song for 20 straight days to taliban prisoners that have never listened tomusic, it sounds genius and if it helps get information from these scums then I’m all for it.

^^ I feel you, J. I think it’s screwed up if the prisoner is innocent but playing loud rap music isn’t the same as ripping out fingernails. Atleast they didn’t play Soulja Boy
