THESIS: Kanye West is a musical genius, but about as smart as my keyboard.

I never noticed this until recently: On Late Registration, Kanye raps the following lyrics →

“And I know the government administered AIDS” – Kanye (“Heard Em Say”)

Right.

In 2005, the same year Late Registration hit stores, Kanye was presented with the Million Man March Image Award. He said the following about the in his acceptance speech →

“…That’s one of the reasons why I think God let me live. But, there must have been a deal made when He spared my life in an accident. He said at any given moment I’m gonna just use you. I’m gonna speak through you at any given moment…”

More

God must have been speaking through him when Mr. West felt comfortable posing as Jesus Christ on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2006. Hmmm…I thought Jesus was a humble man?

Can someone give me a reason why I should care what Kanye says from this point on? I like the music, but I’m starting to think he’s an idiot.

It’s a rhyme in a song. It’s not gospel. Maybe you should have stopped listening to rap in the 80s if you take it literally at all times.
I’m not defending him though, he is an idiot lol.
    I’m just saying…

Word, I should have posted the rest of that acceptance speech. He goes on about the AIDS thing…defending the very lyrics you say I’m taking literally.

But, I said the government administers the AIDS.

This is the whole thing. If you’ve got something that you want to get to, and there’s a people that are strong people, a people that are warriors, in order to get to their resources you’ve got to weaken them. What else has the strongest people you know in more of a fetal position than the AIDS epidemic?

And, then you hear about this. I say in another song, I said, you know the best medicine goes to people that’s paid. If Magic Johnson got a cure for AIDS and all the broke mothers passed away. So that means a cure for AIDS. So who has a cure?

Maybe the same people that administer it that want to get to the diamonds (applause)

Kanye is an artist i love and respect for his talent. But I always felt he needed to learn some humility. Once again I like him as an artist but i have a huge problem with all the rappers and artist that claim to be followers of the teachings of Jesus but they do not show it. You show who you serve though your actions and no man can serve to masters

The kid ‘Ye is a different kinda cat; no doubt about it. I think we all at times fail to consistently adhere to what we say w believe in. That’s what makes us hue-man. Personally I agree with theoraclemag in respect to ‘Ye needing to allow his humility some airtime; but damn….he’s been through a hell of a loss … I know if I were to lose my mother I’d be spinnin’ 2.

^ I agree about being human. All of Kanye’s quotes that I cited came from before his mother unexpectedly passed away, though.

Musical Genius my ass lmao! more like pathetic pile of horse shit. A musical genius plays instruments and are able to compose their own pieces.

Yeah sure, some genius. The guy’s a fake free mason ass kissing drone that’s in the business to make you drones stupid. Auto Tune is his best friend, like many other commercial Illuminati money grabbing twats. Time for the fat cat’s to choke on their power. It’s all becoming too much now. People are becoming aware. Well, most of them – The bright people.

Kanye West is a prime example of FEED THE RICH, FUCK THE POOR! Pathetic.
