1. Prior to rapping about being a cocaine kingpin, William “Rick Ross” Roberts was a correctional officer. What is a correctional officer, you ask? A correctional officer, or CO, is a police officer within a given jail/prison. This is not to say William is a bad guy. A job is a job, but how many of you would ever want to be a prison cop? I’d rather work a drive-thru than put people in cages all day.
2. I can no longer believe or even pretend to believe anything that comes out of Rick Ross’ mouth. Why? Well, when he was first asked about his former career he flat out denied the allegations. Good thing TheSmokingGun and RollingStone dug deeper and found his old pay stubs and on-the-job photos. Let’s get this straight, Ross is a former cop and compulsive liar.
3. I guess because he no longer has any sort of credibility, William thought it would be a wise move to diss 50 Cent in his latest song, “Mafia Music.” First of all, how are you going to call the song “Mafia Music” when you’re a former CO?! Does William think hip-hop fans are stupid enough to buy into his image anymore? Second of all, 50 is going to further remind the public that Rick Ross is faker than a three dollar bill.
