When you make 500 promises on the campaign trail, this is bound to happen. I posted about the Obamameter over a week ago, but check out CNN’s coverage. Here’s the promise Obama broke.

To reduce bills rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them, Obama “will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”
WATCH CNN COVERAGE

I’m guessing President Obama decided that this promise would equal government inefficiency. Also, who is to say that comments on the White House website would change Obama’s mind anyway? PLUS only people with internet access could have their voices heard. What do you think, HipTics?

Watch for Obama’s “Civilian National Security Force” he has planned kind of reminds me of Communist China’s “Education Through Labor”

Also, I would’ve expected this. Didn’t he get elected as PRESIDENT to make these decisions.

I agree with you Franco, whats to say that this will change his mind…..It sounds like he’s doing this to get approval ratings by including america in a process that is supposed to be based off the decisions of elected, qualified officials (Congress, Senate, House of Reps, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the President)

Comments made should be given no consideration by Obama….

^ true that, it’s a waste of time and a silly attempt to make people believe their opinions will influence executive decisions

It’s lame that the news is jumping on a broken promise but in reality we wanted change, right? It’s supposed to be different now, right? We aren’t the subjects. The government is supposed to serve us, not the other way around, right?

He shouldn’t have made the promise. And no, none of these people are qualified to make decisions. It’s just what the sheeple are made to believe. The entire Federal system is bloated and unsustainable. Millions of people are putting their faith into something that shouldn’t be doing the things they think it is supposed to do anyway.

Take responsbility for your life and decisions and stop looking for a bailout. That includes Wall Street and Main Street.

If that was the only promise that Obama has broken then it would not be to bad, but he has back away from most of his promises! He lied from the start of his campaign, good speeches and nothing else!
He has picked tax dodgers and lobbylist for his team. Obama is an empty suit!

Bob, I agree with your feelings about personal responsibility.

Goodtimepolitics, let’s give Obama 100 days before we call him an empty suit.

    Thanks for reading HipTics!
