The report came out yesterday that Clipse former manager was indicted by the Feds. According to the report, dude moved upwards of $100 million worth of cocaine since 2003.
It’s funny to me how this story seems to be getting all the attention when Plies’ manager, not former manager, was busted with 80 pounds worth of white lady in December of 2007.
David Lee Gay Jr., a manager for rapper Plies, was arrested on Tuesday after police seized more than 80 pounds of cocaine from him in Tampa, Florida. The Tampa Tribune reports that from September 21 through November 12, Gay, 35, entered into an agreement to traffic at least 6 kilos of cocaine.
Is any of this cool? Not really. The point is that many seem happy this happened as if it validates Clipse’ whole career. Where were all the Plies haters (“he was a nurse!” “he’s living his brothers life!”) when the news about his manager came out?

I’m real excited to hear the new Clipse album, too. And I agree that Pusha T & Malice > Plies. There’s no competition, but still, Plies is a more successful artist than Clipse in terms of sales. It was his manager at-the-time who got caught, and with 80 pounds of Brooke Shields.
