I’ll Speak With Your Mama Outside
By now I’m sure you’ve heard about Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. getting arrested after Cambridge police were called to investigate a possible break-in at his home. I’ll admit, when I first heard about the story I immediately thought, ‘the cops must be racist.’ Stupid me for assuming that. After reading the report, and learning more about the arresting officer, I do not believe Gates Jr. was treated differently because of his skin color.
