Eminem isn’t happy about his appearance on “Forever” despite winning our ‘Who Had The Best Verse’ poll.
During a recent interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, 50 Cent was asked about what new hip hop music he likes. 50 Cent responded, “I like that “Forever” record.” However, 50 revealed that Eminem did not know the song featured Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and even Drake .
50 Cent: I don’t think Em knew all of those artists were going to be on that record.
Angie Martinez: How does that happen? So Em does the record for who?
50 Cent: Jimmy [Interscope Records Head Jimmy Iovine] and them…I don’t know who’s record he thought it was initially. I think he just did a verse for it.
The real reason for Eminem’s unhappiness with “Forever” has to do with the mixing process. According to 50, Eminem turned in the mixed version of his verse over the Boi-1da instrumental, and was “not happy” when his verse was re-mixed. You can hear everything 50 had to say about Eminem’s feelings about “Forever,” along with candid details about Eminem’s music-making process, in the following clip.
