Eminem’s “Forever” Verse = Gucci Mane Diss?
Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed” got a lot of buzz, mostly because the song was labeled an “Eminem diss.” Mariah Carey only fueled the accusation that “Obsessed” was indeed a diss song aimed at Eminem when she cast a Marshall Mathers look alike to play the role of an obsessive stalker in the song’s music video. Eminem absolutely annihalated Mariah with “Warning,” and all parties have been quiet since.
Later in the summer, Eminem was said to have the best verse on super-collabo record “Forever,” that also features Drake, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. One of Eminem’s lines never made sense to us, but now we believe Eminem takes shots at Gucci Mane. Why Gucci Mane? Gucci appears on the “Obsessed (Remix)” which also has a music video. In the song, Gucci says the following:
I guess shorty mad cos he ain’t got you no more,
So just like Pinocchio, his nose gone grow

Thanks to Rap Exegis, we realize that Eminem’s “Forever” verse is partially a response to Gucci Mane.
They’ve been waiting patiently for Pinocchio to poke his nose
Back into the game and they know
Rap will never be the same as before
Bashing in the brains of these hoes
And establishing a name as he goes
The passion and the flame is ignited
You can’t put it out once we light it
This shit is exactly what the fuck that I’m talking about when we riot
You dealin’ with a few true villains
Whose stand inside of the booth truth spillin’
And spit true feelings, until our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths
Now rewind it!
Payback muthafucka for the way that you got at me, so how’s it taste?
When I slap the taste out your mouth with the bass so loud that it shakes the place
I’m Hannibal Lecter son just in case you’re thinking of saving face
You ain’t gonna have no face to save by the time I’m through with this place
