Chris Akinyemi’s “Radio” was submitted to Hiptics.com’s music DropBox. We liked what we heard and wanted to share.

Radio, the first single from Chris Akinyemi’s Autumn EP is a tune with warm melodic phrases and simple but expressive arrangements. This will be the first of many to come from the singer/songwriter who worked with producer Dboy (Souldiggaz, Missy Elliot…) and industry veteran Harry Conyers (Foo Fighters, Vanessa Williams, Mint Condition…). The alternative crooner takes us on an adventure from start to finish and depicts how he feels about the state of music today. Although in a gentle vibe, he makes his point elusively with his folk lyricism and doesn’t shy away from his pop sensibilities. The single is currently available for download on itunes.
