Snoop Dogg is a legendary MC who is still capable of making relevant hip hop (see Malice N Wonderland). The Doggfather appears on CBS’ prank show, “I Get That A Lot,” which looks pretty funny. Props to ThisIs50 for bringing this video to our attention!
They made us start doing bomb checks over here last week. It’s a code orange right now so I’m trying to make sure we get it back to code yellow around here.
Snoop Dogg is the man. Ever use a car navigation system? Were you disappointed by the computer generated voice telling you where to turn? Well, now you can have Snoop Dogg navigate you on your personal road to success. The video says it all, and quite frankly, we think this is an awesome brand extension for the Doggfather.
Snoop Dogg is an international rap superstar, but the Doggfather knows that mixtapes lay the foundation for an album promotional campaign. According to ThisIs50, the original link was downloaded over 50,000 times in 24 hours. The tracklisting and back cover for Snoop’s I Wanna Rock are below. Read the rest of this entry »
Curren$y goes on to say that Snoop Dogg is the one rapper he really wants to rap with on a track. Also, the New Orleans rapper says that what he’s heard of Max B’s upcoming Amalgam Digital release is super-dope.
Curren$y is one of my favorite rappers in the game right now. Shout out to Jay for really putting me on to Hot Spitta! -Cfro
The coolest part about this Snoop Dogg video has nothing to do with Kanye “President Obama Called Me A Jackass” West. There’s talk about the now-infamous VMA moment; Snoop blames Kanye West’s actions on Jamie Foxx and T-Pain.
Here’s what I was really interested by: Beggining at the 1:00 point you’ll catch a candid Snoop Dogg moment as the legendary rapper hears one of his own songs that he never had the chance to listen to since the studio session. The sound of his own raps over a funky beat turns Snoop into a dancing machine.
“Gz And Hustlas” is one of my favorite tracks on Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle. The classic hip hop album, produced entirely by Dr. Dre, contains samples on all but one song. On “Gz And Hustlas,” Dre uses a sample from Bernard Wright’s “Haboglabotribin.” Take a listen.

I remember seeing it on tv a few years back. Snoop is one of the only rappers I’ve seen on Rap City rhyming without a pre-written.
I’d rather have DJ Drama yelling over the track than DJ Khaled. Keep your eyes open for the Lil Jon cameo, as well as DJ Drama’s “Barack O’Drama” chain. Too goofy!
